we cannot afford to ignore the tremendous risks associated with fracking

Hello Mr Martens

especially in light of yesterday's NY Times article, we cannot afford to ignore the tremendous risks associated with fracking. PLease do everything in your power to be sure that the draft SGEIS is expanded to include wastewater and other risks not addresses in the current version. I also strongly urge establishing a Citizens Advisory Committees and a Technical Advisory Committee to help DEC revise the draft SGEIS. We also need at least 30 days public comment to identify additional issues to be included in the draft SGEIS scope. Finally NYS should be requiring individual EIS reviews for horizontal hydrofracturing permits, "GA effluent limitations" for hydrofracturing, deep well injection and wastewater treatment.

Thank you for providing leadership to safeguard our health, our environment, and our upstate economy. I have provided similar comments by phone to the Governor's office and to EPA regional office.
