Dear Gov. Cuomo:
Today's NY Times begins a series on hydrofracking which is, if anything, more alarming than what we have yet seen. It is thus even more important than before (assuming such a condition is possible) that the scope of the dGEIS be vastly expanded with the aid of citizens and technical experts. It seems clear that there must be strict effluent limitations. Beyond this (and so far not addressed by the Times) is the question of air pollution caused by diesel trucks carrying water, effluent and gas, and diesel fuel used in drilling—and if a musician may add something close to his heart, the noise pollution!
Sincerely yours,
Donald M
