Constitution Pipeline

Dear Governor Cuomo:

My name is D M and I live in the Southern Tier, in Newark Valley .

I write today because as a health care professional and citizen I am very concerned with the protection and safety of our air, water and soil, all precious resources and all essential to the health and well-being of humankind, as well as to a healthy economy. We have all seen and heard of spills, explosions and leaks affecting individual families and entire communities secondary to fossil fuels and gas usage. You have stated your aim is for New York State to become more reliant on alternative fuel and energy sources. Please put our resources toward that goal rather than perpetuating the natural gas industry and putting our state in jeopardy. Do not allow felling of trees for a pipeline.

With those concerns in mind, I request that you deny all pending applications for Water Quality Certification for the proposed Constitution Pipeline and all other natural gas, crude oil and petroleum product infrastructure projects in New York due to the state's well-documented inability to fulfill the requirements of Section 401 of the U. S. Clean Water Act.

Strong request to not allow Water Quality Certification and pipelines to those who could harm us

Dear Governor Cuomo:

My name is G J. M. F and I live at ___ Lane; Canandaigua NY 14424. I write today because I worked hard with many
other NY State citizens to not allow the disaster of fracking in NY State. You are a hero to me and others because you saw the destruction fracking would do and did not allow fracking in NY State. However, for you to continue to be a hero to me and so very many others, you must not allow harmful oil/gas pollution and the strong potential for explosions, gas, oil and methane leaks from pipelines through or storrage in NY State. Other states have devastated their citizens and environment by allowing oil, gas and methane pipelines along with fracking. Please, legislate against transporting fracked gas and oil from other states through NY State. As our NY Governor, your primary job is to protect us and our environment. You are not to do the bidding of corporations, unless for the best benefit of the NY people and NY environment upon which we live and depend.

Please deny the Section 401 Water Quality Certification for the Constitution Pipeline

Dear Governor Cuomo:

My name is M T and I live in Van Etten, NY .

I write today because I can not be in Albany in person to plead with you to deny the Section 401 Water Quality Certification for the Constitution Pipeline. The companies involved are proceeding in Pennsylvania as if they have permits in hand. Most disturbing to me is the destruction of a PA family's maple syrup business by destroying a huge swath of their sugar bush, even though the company was directed to use pre-exisiting right of ways. There is blatant disregard for individual rights in this mega business.

Beyond that, creating more infrastructure for the fossil fuel industry effort expended in the wrong direction. New York under your leadership has been leading us towards a cleaner, greener future and I thank you for that!
