Take Action to Persuade the Town of Dryden to Suspend or Withdraw All Local Approvals for the Proposed Dominion New Market Pipeline

Read Ms. Lifton's powerful written requests: Letter to FERC re: Borger Compressor Station wetland variance request and letter to Gov. Cuomo re: Dominion's SPPP
Greetings Fractivists:
I am immensely pleased to alert you that we are now systematically battling on the local, state and national levels to kill the fracked gas Dominion New Market Pipeline Project.
First, we are substantively pressuring the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and Governor Cuomo to:
a) DENY Dominion's requested wetland protection variances,
b) REVOKE a factually incorrect and fatally flawed Dominion Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and
c) make sure that a "Notice to Proceed" is NOT granted for the proposed pipeline project.
Our Top Priority Effort
Most importantly, we are now requesting that the Town of Dryden, NY suspend or withdraw all local approvals for the massive proposed expansion of the Dominion New Market pipeline's toxic-contaminated Borger Compressor Station located at 219 Ellis Hollow Creek Road.
I implore you to request that the Town of Dryden suspend or withdraw the Dominion New Market's Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan as well as a reported special use zoning variance associated with the Borger Compressor Station because it does not comport with the Town's comprehensive land-use plan.
Also request that all toxic pollution at the Borger facility be fully investigated and remediated in strict compliance with applicable clean up standards in order to safeguard Cascadilla Creek, a major tributary to Cayuga Lake, prior to any expansion of the existing compressor station.
These requests are spelled out in an important new: Letter to Town of Dryden re: Dominion's wetland variance request for Borger Compressor Station
Respectfully Call and Email the Town of Dryden Supervisor, Jason Leifer, and other Town Board Members:
Please call (607) 844-8888, then Press 6 for the Town Supervisor.
See contact info for other Town Board members at: http://dryden.ny.us/board-commission-list/town-board/
FYI, I met with the Town of Dryden Director of Planning, Ray Burger, a week ago. I subsequently did not receive any response to emails that I submitted to Mr. Burger, Supervisor Leifer or any other Town of Dryden authorities.
I realize that this is a vacation week, but since time is of the essence regarding a possible FERC decision, I believe Fractivists must immediately take respectful advocacy action. Please be entirely respectful in your efforts, but firm in your requests.
I wish to underscore that the Town of Dryden played an important role in prohibiting shale fracking in New York by winning a landmark "home rule" decision. This is referenced at the end my letter. Our requests are entirely consistent with the exercise of home rule in Dryden, NY.
Many Thanks to the Incomparable Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton and her Amazingly Great Staff
I am pleased to provide two important letters that Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton wrote to FERC and Governor Cuomo which request that Dominion's wetland protection variances be denied.
Please join me in thanking Ms. Lifton and her amazingly great staff for their epic hard work. I urge you to email and call her office to convey your appreciation for all their effective efforts on behalf of the public interest:
