Echo our sophisticated "asks." Read this alert: Take Urgent Action to Kill Newly Requested Wetland and Waterway Protection Variances for Dominion New Market Pipeline

Greetings:

It is a privilege to thank so many amazingly dedicated and informed Fractivists for yet another day of hard work to kill all fossil fuel infrastructure projects proposed in New York.

Your focused efforts have been stupendously effective. I appreciate your emails and calls to keep our campaign apprised of rapidly unfolding developments.

We are brutally cranking up the heat to require FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) to DENY all wetland and waterway variances for the proposed Dominion New Market Pipeline and REVOKE a fatally flawed Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan.

We are evidently tying FERC into the Gordian Knot. The phone number I used yesterday to call Ms. Sarah McKinley at FERC headquarters was no longer working today. This is what happens when scores of Fractivists deliver a relentless hammering.

You can call Ms. McKinley at 202 502 8004 or 202-502-6088. Refer to FERC Docket Nos. CP14-497-000 in your communications.

A forceful Fractivist actually spoke today to the Acting FERC Chair's "Confidential Assistant," Andrew Holleman. I invite you to call him at 202 502 8565.

Mr. Holleman reportedly said that FERC is "not in session" due to the lack of a quorum resulting from the resignation of the former FERC Chairman last Friday. He reportedly added that "all business is on hold now."

That is almost certainly not true. Ms. McKinley told me today that Dominion's New Market wetland and waterway variance request would probably be decided by "staff." This would not require a FERC quorum. That is why we are hanging by a thread.

Keep calling and writing. We must take full advantage of every opportunity to kill Dominion New Market Pipeline before it is too late. More shortly.

Kimberly D. Bose, Secretary of the Commission, 202 - 502 - 8400.

Cheryl A. LaFleur, Acting FERC Chair, 202 - 502 - 8961.

FERC does not wish to talk with you. FERC wants you to submit comments on-line. You can download a PDF of my letter if you wish to submit it with your comments: Please Deny Dominion New Market Variance and Notice to Proceed Request

Request that FERC DENY all wetland and waterbody variance requests for Dominion New Market Pipeline. Refer to Docket Nos. CP14-497-000. Also demand that FERC REVOKE New Market's Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan because it has been documented to be fatally flawed. Request that FERC NOT grant a Notice to Proceed given these concerns.

As you will see below, I submitted for official consideration my request that FERC rescind its "Conditional Approvals" for the Dominion New Market Pipeline, Arlington Gas Storage and Constitution/Iroquois Pipelines.

Governor Cuomo

Keep Calling Governor Cuomo incessantly at 518 474 8390.

Tell the Governor to require FERC to DENY all wetland and waterbody variance requests for Dominion New Market Pipeline and to make sure that FERC does NOT grant a Notice to Proceed. Tell Governor Cuomo to REVOKE New Market's State Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan because it has been documented to be fatally flawed.

3. Use our new personalized form letter to require Governor Cuomo to rescind his authorization for Dominion New Market Pipeline and adopt a statewide moratorium on all fossil fuel infrastructure project approvals. Fill in the blanks.

Toxics Targeting forwards each and every one of your letters. Governor Cuomo has received nearly 600 personalized letters regarding this request. That is hard core.

Every day is an eternity in politics. Do not stop until you drop.

Onward and upward,

Walter
