Yesterday, the Constitution Pipeline Company, LLC requested authorization from FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) to proceed with tree felling in New York even though our State Department of Environmental Conservation has NOT granted a Section 401 Water Quality Certification required for the proposed pipeline to be built.

The firm is clearly trying to "jump the gun" before any Section 401 Water Quality Certification decision in order to make the proposed 124-mile Constitution Pipeline a fait accompli. We must stop that from happening.

This could be it. Drop everything. Take urgent action TODAY. It could be do or die.

I implore you to flood Governor Cuomo with calls to request that he TAKE ACTION TO OPPOSE THE PROPOSED TREE FELLING and IMMEDIATELY DENY the Section 401 Water Quality Certification for the proposed Constitution Pipeline due to DEC's documented inability to prevent at least 114 major fossil fuel pipeline explosions, fires, ruptures and toxic discharges.

Pour it on. Reportedly 70% of the tree felling has been completed in Pennsylvania along a 20-mile stretch of the proposed Constitution Pipeline route. A 100-mile section in New York will be next if we do not prevail in this landmark fight.
