Reported Lead & Toxic Hazards in Ithaca Falls Area
Toxics Targeting, Inc. is pleased to post for public review selected reports, correspondence, monitoring results and photos that document extensive lead and toxic chemical contamination in a portion of the City-owned Ithaca Falls recreation area adjacent to the former Ithaca Gun factory.
These documents were obtained through the Freedom of Information Law from the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. A complete set of all of the documents obtained by Toxics Targeting, Inc. for the site is available for public review at the Tompkins County Public Library in Ithaca.
A letter is also posted requesting DEC Commissioner, Honorable John Cahill, to investigate and clean up the contaminated site without further delay.
